John Deere 6650 Self Propelled Forage Harvester 'Ride & Drive - Drive Train Guarantee' - 5,457 Hours on Meter, 4035 Cutter Hours, Rear Wheel Assist, A/C & Heat, Radio, Hydro, 8.1l PowerTech, Rear camera, Rear Hydraulics, From local dairy farm near Chambersburg. Well maintained machine. Farmer is upgrading. Engine: 8.1 liter – We never had it opened up, does not use oil. We think it was turned up at some point before we purchased it. Injector pump was rebuilt a few years ago by Diesel Systems. New turbo charger recently. Kernel Processor: Rebuilt by Horning of New Holland, PA in July 2025. New rolls and bearings installed. ($5,000.00) Does excellent job processing. Hydro: Rebuilt by G D Equipment in March 2023. It was removed and reinstalled by a John Deere mechanic. Blower: All new paddles and new blower housing installed spring 2025. Sometimes when throttle is pulled all the way back, the after cooler temp light will flash and beep, and engine won't throttle up. Pushing throttle forward a little and waiting a few seconds clears it. It's been this way for a while. Likely an electrical issue. Chopper is currently field ready, set up for chopping haylage or small grain in the spring. Just had engine oil and filter changed. New hydro and hydraulic filters.
